This is an original 1978 Music Man Stingray Body that is Sunburst and light.  This would be a stellar body for your vintage Music Man Project.

Description
This is a original body off of a 1978 Music Man Stingray Bass.  The body is Sunburst and this is the original finish.  The finish looks good overall and there is some general wear.  There is a lot of finish checking, some light nicks and a little scratching.  There are 2 extra holes that have been drilled into the neck pocket which are pictured.
There are 2 characteristics of this body that make this special. The first is the pickup cavity has some factory original channels that I call the Thunder Pocket.  This space allows resonance under the pickups which produces some major tone.  The other is that the body is lightweight at 4 pounds and 11 ounces.  This would be a STELLAR body for your vintage Music Man Bass Project.
