Missouri Fox Trotter Stallion Resin painted to flaxen chestnut

Description

His name is Text Me Kisses.  This is a resin by Deborah McDermott, with absolutely incredible detail.  The veins on the neck, belly and legs are fabulous.  The is the Missouri Fox Trotter stallion from which the CollectA version is cast and it is the same size as the CollectA, roughly four inches tall.
This horse is created with earth pigments and acrylics.  The whites are crisp, the pigment work is smooth, and all layers are sealed in dull cote.  The hooves are detailed and glossed, as are the eyes.
Text Me Kisses is my first resin in this scale.  I love resin.  Why it feels different even after you primer it with the same primer you use on a plastic horse, I cannot explain...but there is something about resin that inspires you to give it your best.  And Deborah McDermott is an amazing sculptress, so all the more inspiration!
